By combining use of both precious and non-precious materials, predominantly silver with resins, Miranda produces innovative jewellery that explores the notion of beauty. Her approach to jewellery is an abstract interpretation of visual inspirations, primarily organic forms. ‘I utilise various shapes and forms of interest, evolving them through drawing and material experimentation, then combining elements together to create designs that vary from easily wearable pieces to more dramatic pieces’. Through the design process Miranda explores strength of form through simple lines and how repeating or layering materials and components can change the effect of a piece.
